In the aftermath of the horrific shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High on Feb. 14, I was sickened to read about four sheriff's deputies who didn't enter the school.  It appears that the School Resource Officer stayed outside of the building for six minutes while the shooting was going on and told other deputies to do the same.  As a Dad with kids in school this makes me so mad.  The men with the weapons and training needed to stop the shooter decided to stay outside behind their cars!  I hate to think about how many children lost their lives because of their cowardice.  In this instance, the shooter chose a school so he could have a whole building full of defenseless victims.  As we've seen many times before this story would have quickly changed if he had been confronted with bullets flying back at him.   

Unfortunately, that didn't happen.  If you are counting on the cops to save you, you might want to think again.  Get trained and be ready to protect yourself and your loved ones. #RVAready #CarryConfident
